Pastor, Apostle, Pedophile?

Sometimes there are stories for which there are no words. I don't have to comment, I don't have to analyze, and I really don't have to write anything.

Pastor Albert A. Young who is known as an “apostle” at the Total Deliverance Ministries in North Philly, was reportedly arrested, after he was accused of using his ministry to not only preach God’s word but to sexually abuse his 15-year-old mentally challenged niece

The 49-year-old preacher was with his niece on August 12th, when he allegedly requested that the child sit on his lap. According to a police report, Young then proceeded to fondle the girl’s genital area and buttocks while planting kisses on her neck.  As he continued to allegedly fondle the child, he requested that she reciprocate by placing her hand on his private areas, and before the pastor dismissed his niece, he warned her not to divulge any details of what had taken place, states the police affidavit.

The child did not abide by her uncle’s warning and allegedly exposed what she had experienced; police have not released any specific information as to whom the child told about her uncle’s sexual advances.

A warrant was eventually issued for Young after detectives delved in to the complaint, and he was arrested last Thursday and charged with unlawful sexual contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent assault of a child.

A judge set a $50,000 bail and Young reportedly posted 10 percent of it last Friday.  Pastor Young is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on November 19th to answer to the alleged charges.

  1. Yes, you're right--there are no words. "Apostle or Pedophile"--"Daddy Grace", "Elijah Muhammed" and others are said to have had pedophilia in their repertoire. I believe the niece's account of the story.

  2. WOW! Daddy Grace! I haven't heard that name in years. Yes, I agree with the niece too.
