This Fool And His Tattoo!

I'll admitt it. I had contemplated getting a tattoo for years. Something meaningful or poignant. But the only problem is. I already know my name, and my children's names, and I don't need to suffer by having a cross drawn into my flesh because Jesus already suffered on the cross for me. But most of all, a 44 year old man would look foolish getting a tattoo as if he's in the midst of some mid-life crisis. Besides I could pay some bills with that $200 or $300. But, to each is own, it takes all kinds of people to make a world......, insert your own cliche here_______.

The bottom line is, life is all about choices, and how we deal with the consequences of our actions. The thing is. Far too many of us have a knack for wallowing in stupidity and wearing our ignorance like badges of honor. Exhibiting our fatal flaws to the world as if being black in America affords us the luxury of having or transgressions forgiven. This poor fool has made himself both unemployable, and inhuman. Simply because the image that he had permanently imprinted into his face acts as a blatant confirmation of each and every vile black stereotype. Particularly the one in which black men are thought of as violent, immoral, monstrous characters with no sense of pride, dignity or self.

Just When You Thought You Heard It All News (12-26-2015)

A man in Waynesboro, Virginia, was cited by police after they said he called 911 asking for blunt paper............

Kyle Dustin Head......and yes, that's his real name, was arrested early Thursday morning after he allegedly called 911 "in a disoriented state", according to a release from the Waynesboro Police Department.

Officials said the 24-year-old Head asked for rolling papers to be delivered, but the 911 dispatcher preferred to have two officers roll over instead.

The officers found the suspect sitting in a 2005 Chevy pickup truck which had a strong odor of marijuana emanating from it.

When the officers got closer, they noticed what looked like marijuana on Head's clothing, right ear, the truck dashboard and the passenger seat.

Officers said Head admitted he had smoked marijuana recently and said he thought he was calling a friend about the rolling papers, not the 911 dispatcher.

Head was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession and released without being taken into custody.

The police department release said it had "no headshot of Head."

This isn't the only time someone has called 911 with regard to marijuana.

In September, Erin Klich, 36, called 911 dispatchers in Fort Myers, Florida, to gripe that her dealer had shorted her on a $75 bag of marajuana.

In April, 2014, police in Lufkin, Texas, arrested 37-year-old Evelyn Hamilton after she allegedly called there to complain about the quality ofthe marijuana she had purchased from a dealer.

In May, 2013, Jarvis Sutton, was arrested after he allegedly called 911 operators in St. Petersburg, Florida, 80 times, wanting  "Kool-Aid burgers and weed" to be delivered to him.

The FBI says that a 28-year-old genius faces federal and state charges after he robbed a credit union in Bend, then went on a shopping spree that included buying a Christmas tree he later used to try and hide from police.

The FBI says Brett Gillispie-Comstock went into a Selco Community Credit Union twice on Dec. 16 before he walked to a teller, told her he was ready to open an account and handed her a note demanding $5,000.

He left with $1,373 in an envelope. Bend police officers found Gillispie-Comstock nearby about 40 minutes after the robbery and arrested him.

Authorities say Gillespie-Comstock told investigators that he and his mother had lost $400 gambling and that they needed money for rent, Christmas presents and a Christmas tree.

The Oregonian reports that authorities say he used some of the money to buy a Christmas tree. The FBI says he had been trying to use the tree to hide his face when police stopped him.

In Eugene, Oregon Police say a man with an obvious flair for humor, and angry with his tax situation left a flock of seven chickens inside the state revenue office.

Police in Eugene said in a news release they responded to a report Wednesday afternoon of chickens left in the lobby of the Oregon Department of Revenue.

Police and an animal welfare officer rounded up the fowl, and they were taken to an animal shelter.

Officers gave 66-year-old Louis Adler, of Creswell, a trespass notice requiring him to stay away from the office or risk a citation.

Adler couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

State agency spokesman Derrick Gasperini told the Guard the staff had prior dealings with Adler and he was "frustrated by the outcome."

A 15 Year Old Superhero!

John 15:13:Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

A 15-year-old high school football star was killed while shielding three girls during a senseless shooting spree in Tennessee on Friday

Zaevion Dobson was with a few friends Thursday in his northern Knoxville neighborhood when a group of men approached them and began firing randomly into the crowd.

Dobson’s brother Zach said that he was among the group sitting on a porch just after 10 p.m. when they saw the men walking up to them.

“I’m shocked. I’m really just shocked. I can’t believe it, can’t get it across my head,” Zack Dobson said. “We were just sitting on the porch chillin’, and we see these random dudes walking up.”

Zaevion jumped on top of three girls to protect them from the gunfire. He was the only one hit.

"He died laying on top of me. I love him that's my brother man ?? rest easy zae ???? ILL NEVER FORGET YOU,” one of the girls tweeted after the tragedy.

Knoxville Police Chief David Rausch said the violence started miles away when a 46-year-old woman named Lisa Perry was shot while inside her apartment.

She is expected to survive.

Rausch said Perry’s 23-year-old son, Brandon Perry, and several other men then drove to the neighborhood where Zaevion lived and “randomly fired multiple times” in a twisted retribution for the earlier bloodshed.

Brandon Perry was later found to have been shot after he crashed a car into another apartment. He died from his injuries.

Two other men who fled from the crash were arrested, though one was later released after being questioned.

Christopher D. Bassett, 20, was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon and probation violation, officials said.

Further charges may be added later and Bassett is being held without bond, cops said.

“These cowardly and senseless acts of violence must stop,” Rausch said. “We should be preparing to celebrate the Christmas holiday, but now we have two men who are dead.”

Rausch said investigators think the shootings are gang-related, but he said there didn’t appear to be a motive to target Zaevion.

“Unfortunately, they picked a random group of young men and women who were just hanging out and trying to prepare to celebrate the holiday,” he said.

Just When You Thought You Heard It All News (12-19-2015)

Mike Drake is taking the concept of "reuse, renew and recycle" to bizarre extremes.

The 45-year-old Queens resident saves every single nail clipping from his fingers and toes and turns them into designer paperweights.

Incredibly, Drake is able to sell the keratin-packed paperweights for between $300 and $500 apiece.

Drake got started 11 years ago. "I used to bite my nails, and I wondered how long they could grow," he told The Huffington Post. "And then I wondered how much I might be able to accumulate."

Drake managed to get a year's worth of nails into a Ziploc baggie, approximately 1,040 clippings, not that he counted them. He's not that obsessive). He was going to throw them out when he had a sudden burst of inspiration.

"I realized I went to all that effort, and I figured, in for a penny, in for a pound," he said. "I already worked with acrylics as a hobby so I decided to make paperweights."

Buying a butt plug might be embarrassing, not to mention FREAKY. But it's not worse than getting caught shoplifting one!

Christopher Masters, 33, was arrested Dec. 10 after a manager at a Spencer's Gifts store in Vero Beach, Florida, of course, reported seeing him stick twosex toys down his khaki shorts.

The sex toys were described as an "Arouz'd screw butt plug," and an "Arouz'd stroker can", both typically used for masturbation.

The cost of both products: $29.98.

When Masters left the store with his shorts allegedly loaded with toys, store security detained him.

The security staff told police that Masters supposedly admitted that he had enough money to pay for them, but was "too embarrassed to payfor them because they were sex toys,” according to the Palm Beach Post.

Masters was arrested and taken to the Indian River County Jail and charged with one misdemeanor shoplifting count.

Masters was released shortly after midnight after posting $500 bond -- about $470.02 more than the cost of the sex toys he was allegedly too embarrassed to purchase.

The holidays are a time to reconnect with old friends, but breaking into jail maynot be  the best way to do that.

Authorities in Indian River County, Florida, arrested a complete idiot on Monday night after he allegedly tried to break into the county jail by ramming his car into the front door and then trying to climb a fence.

METH HEAD!

The suspect, 24-year-old Patrick Rempe, was arrested when he got tangled in the fence's razor wire............

Rempe was taken into custody and treated for minor injuries.

Police said he told them he was high on the synthetic drug flakka and just wanted visit his friends who are in jail.

Sheriff's department officials estimate the damage to be at least $5,000.

Even if Rempe managed to climb the fence, he would have had to scale another fence, and then get through a locked door at the building where his friends were housed.

Mission impossible!

Why Can't Black Girls Rock?!

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. Black girls definitely rock! I'm married to one, I have a little one, and  I am related to quite a few of them. So I am speaking from experience. There's nothing wrong with being proud of who you are, no matter who you are. But for some reason when black people show any kind of pride in being black it is discouraged & deemed threatening. Shortly after the "Black Girls Rock" slogan was introduced, a group of white women saw fit to introduce a slogan of their own, "White Girls Rock". As if they have been equally as disenfranchised and discriminated against as white women. In reality this counter active move was nothing more than an insult, and an attempt to mock black women. But the question is. Why is black pride so intolerable.

A young mother in Biloxi, Mississippi is fighting back after an administrator at her daughter’s elementary school made the child take off her “Black Girls Rock” t-shirt.

Sharika Jolly shares that her 8-year-old daughter Makiyah-Jae told her that she wanted to straighten her hair and dye it blonde, and she had been looking for ways to build her self-esteem.

“I’m like ‘No, baby. That’s not you. This is who you are. You don’t have to be like anyone else but yourself. And I feel like she should be comfortable in her own skin,” said Jolly.

In response, Sharika brought her daughter a “Black Girls Rock” shirt. The popular slogan was coined by celebrity DJ Beverly Bondwho runs a non-profit with the same name. Bond also executive produces the annual Black Girls Rock awards show on BET which celebrates and promotes women empowerment.

Even though Makiyah had worn her shirt to school several times before, the principal of Popps Ferry Elementary made the little girl change clothes. When she arrived home, Sharika called the principal in search of answers.

“When I asked him what was the reason for him taking the shirt off of her, he said, ‘You’re right. It’s not in the policy. Nowhere in the policy does it state that the shirt is out of dress code,’” said Sharika. “He said they made a judgment call, then I proceeded to ask well who are the judges judging my eight year old. And he said ‘Well, I’m the principal so I made the call.’”

Sharika then contacted the school district and two days later, she received a formal apology from the superintendent.

“The principal said they got to thinking about it. We were trying to avoid a conflict,” said Arthur McMillan, Biloxi Schools Superintendent. “In today’s world we think about all the politically correct things that we don’t want to offend anybody; probably overreached in this situation.”

While the exact thought process behind the principal reprimanding the 8-year-old is unknown, we imagine that he associated “Black Girls Rock” with “Black Lives Matter”, a movement that seeks to bring awareness and justice to African American’s who are victims of police brutality.

However, a quick google search could have eased the principal’s fears that the little girl was doing nothing more than wearing an empowerment t-shirt.

Central Park Was A Black Town

In the mid 19th century, New York City decided it needed a park. So they did what was done in those days. they took what they wanted from Black people. The city was growing fast, and everyone was conscious that there was one thing in which its rivals in Europe had the upper hand. In 1845, the editor of the New York Evening Post wrote a special Independence Day editorial, enviously praising Britain’s acres of parks, noting: "These parks have been called the lungs of London."
Beyond Brit-envy, there was also the problem of the changing downtown area. Once the spot where fashionable ladies congregated, it was becoming crowded with a new immigrant population, as well as noise and the smoke produced by industry. According to the Louise Chipley Slavicek, author of New York’s Central Park, the pro-park lobby were largely “affluent merchants, bankers and landowners”, who wanted a “fashionable and safe public place where they and their families could mingle and promenade”. And so in 1851, Ambrose Kingsland, the city’s mayor, agreed to create one. By 1854, the city had chosen generous chunk of land in the centre of the island between what is now 59th and 106th streets, and construction on the park began. (It was later extended four blocks further north). The park is still there today, despite centuries of urban development, the park has remained an anchoring chunk of green space among the ever crowded Manhattan street. But.there’s another side to the story. By the time the decision to create a park was made, there wasn’t enough empty space left in Manhattan. So the city chose a stretch of land where the largest settlement was. Seneca Village had a population of 264, and the decided to seize the land under the law of eminent domain, through which the government can take private land for public purposes. Residents protested to the courts many times, against both the order and the level of compensation being offered for their land; eventually, though, all were forced to leave.
Two thirds of the population was black; the rest Irish. There were three churches and a school. And 50 per cent of the heads of households owned the land they lived on, a fact conveniently ignored by the media of the time, who described the population as “squatters” and the settlement as “n***er village”.
If you visited the park during its first 150 years of existence, you’d have no idea this village ever existed. It was only in 2001 that a small group called the Seneca Village Project pressured the city to install a small plaque; it describes the village as a “unique community”, which may well have been “Manhattan’s first prominent community of African American property owners”.
Since then the group, formed in the late nineties by a group of archaeologists and historians, has gone much further in bringing the village back into the cultural consciousness. In 2011, it managed to get permission to carry out an archaeological dig in Central Park, in order to find out more about the village and its residents.
Anthropologist Diana Wall was a founding member of the project. She told me that the excavation helped solidify information about the settlement, which even she herself had thought might be an “urban myth” when she first heard about it:
In fact, there’s actually quite a lot recorded about Seneca Viillage: the simple fact that many of the residents owned their land meant that the settlement generated a lot of paperwork. In future, Wall and her colleagues hope to make a film and book about the settlement and its residents. Every few years, the project gets a grant, usually from the National Science Foundation, which moves it a little closer to these goals.
So why does the demolition of a tiny village, razed in the 19th century to create a park that’s since been enjoyed by millions, matter? Wall places it in a much wider narrative, in which African Americans’ role in the nation's early public life has been erased: “There’s been a denial that there were African Americans in New York City," she says. In 1991, a slave burial ground was discovered during excavations to build a new office block north of City Hall – a reminder that nearly a quarter of the city’s population was black by the time of the American Revolution.

Just When You Thought You Heard It All (12-13-2015)

Police say a lucky homeless man (yes, I said a lucky homeless man), sleeping inside a garbage bin in Fremont, California, survived two compaction cycles after the bin was emptied into a trash truck.

Fremont police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques said Tuesday the 44-year-old man was sleeping inside a large trash bin behind a restaurant when a trash truck collected it and used the compactor.

The truck then traveled to a fast food restaurant, collected trash from another bin there and again used the compactor.

She says the man crawled out through an opening in the roof the next time the truck stopped at another store.

Bosques says the man was very lucky to have survived the compaction without serious injuries.

The man, who suffers from mental health issues, was taken to a hospital to be checked.

Six11-pound geese, 13 pounds of goose fat and liver, three ducks, a one-gallon jar of pickles, butter, and a package of poppy seeds.........and a partridge and a pear tree!! But these are not lyrics to a Christmas carol of yore but rather the food items enjoyed by an alleged "gastro-thief", accused of hiding in a restaurant in the Czech Republic at closing time and dining like a king overnight. Authorities say the man, variously identified by the media as being 38 or 48 years old, sneaked into an unnamed Prague eatery and hid in a bathroom as staff were closing up on Sunday.  When the coast was clear, he, as police put it, "feasted royally" on $800 worth of food, though it has been noted that he "sampled" the aforementioned items rather than consumed them all—then washed it all down with several bottles of wine, authorities say. Apparently he had no room for dessert, but wrapped up beer and a strawberry cake to take with him, police say. He also packed some clothes including chef’s pants, and searched the bar and employee lockers for money, authorities say. They believe his plan was to sneak out again in the morning. Instead, he was discovered by a cleaner who arrived around 9am and called police. The man now faces up to two years in prison.

The NRA Launches Disgusting Ad

The White House has condemned a new TV advertisement as "repugnant and cowardly".
The powerful gun lobby is broadcasting the 35-second ad, which is called Stand and Fight, on an outdoor sports cable TV channel, but it has gone viral and the NRA may consider airing the ad nation wide.
http://youtu.be/RB4lDYSv_KY

In the advertisement the NRA claims President Obama is an "elitist hypocrite" because his children have personal protection while he has been critical of an NRA plan to put armed guards in America's schools. Obama's two daughters are afforded the same Secret Service Protection that all first families have had.

"Most Americans agree that a president's children should not be used as pawns in a political fight. But to go so far as to make the safety of the president's children the subject of an attack ad is repugnant and cowardly," said White House spokesman Jay Carney.

The ad has created headlines on the same day as Obama and vice-president Joe Biden wereannouncing plans to tighten gun regulation in the wake of the Newtown shooting which saw 20 young children and six adults gunned down at an elementary school in the usually quiet Connecticut town.

The tone of the ad has been typical of the NRA's stance since Newtown as it battles what it fears is a public backlash against its aggressive lobbying on behalf of gun owners and the large firearms industry. After New York state this week passed a slew of gun regulation measures the NRA issued a statement attacking governor Andrew Cuomo, "These gun control schemes have failed in the past and will have no impact on public safety and crime," the NRA said in a statement.

And after meeting with White House officials about planned new regulations, the NRA said it was "disappointed" in the meeting and accused the Obama administration of pursuing an anti-gun ownership agenda.

But the new ad has earned condemnation from some usually sympathetic figures on the right wing. MSNBC television host Joe Scarborough, who as a Republican congressman was a strong supporter of the NRA, said earlier on Wednesday that the ad was "frightening and over the line". Conservative columnist David Frum also attacked the ad. In a blog post he said: "The NRA's sneering references to the president's family are beyond the pale."

This ad is coded. The fact that no other president has been criticized by the NRA for having the Secret Service protect their family is quite telling. The hidden message as I see it is, "This Black man is utilizing firearms to protect his family, and surely his family is not better than yours."

Unconcealed Weapons In Ohio

Nobody wants to open their front door and see a strange man carrying an assault rifle. No matter what his intentions are or what his race is it can be a disturbing sight to say the least. But when that strange man is not from your neighborhood, to say that there is cause for concern is an understatement.

The owner of an East Exchange Street barbershop in Akron, Ohio unleashed a tirade Thursday against a man who has been carrying a gun around busy Akron streets, leading the rifleman to call police.

Akron has been abuzz with spottings of Daniel Kovacevic, 25, walking with a rifle on his back Monday near the University of Akron.

Deone Slater, owner of Kangaroo Kutz on East Exchange Street, did not to want to let Kovacevic in front of his shop Thursday morning. Kovacevic called police.

"He was a threat to my community," Slater said. "If I can prevent him from shooting up the city, I would. I won't condone it. Somebody's got to stand up."

Slater said police arrived within seconds and tried to calm Slater, who was yelling profanities at Kovacevic.

"He (Slater) was obviously emotional and concerned about his safety and the safety of everyone in the community," said Sgt. Doug Sandor, one of the officers arriving at the scene.

Kovacevic,  who like anyone in Ohio is allowed to carry weapons openly without a license, went on his way. Police had received no further calls about him as of early Thursday afternoon.

Slater said Kovacevic said little during the confrontation. He said Kovacevic asked him if he were a Christian, and Slater said no.

"I told him to take his guns off," Slater said. "I told him let me have five or 10 minutes with him without his weapons."

Slater said he didn't understand why police were trying to calm him down instead of talking to Kovacevic.

"They (police) asked me why do I have a problem," Slater said. "He's a threat to me and my people. He's a threat to me."

Slater, who is black, said race played into the police's response. Kovacevic is white. And of course, he's right.

"They (police) were more concerned about me than him, as if I were the threat," Slater said. "It it were me with a gun, they would have shut the whole block down."

Lt. Rick Edwards, Akron police spokesman, rejected the allegation of bias.

"We don't look at the color of people's skin when we enforce the law," Edwards said..........

However, Edwards noted that Kovacevic -- since reports started coming in Monday about him carrying a rifle in Akron -- has been spotted in predominately black communities.

The reaction

Cleveland.com talked to several people Wednesday afternoon near the University of Akron. Most considered Kovacevic's actions unnecessary demonstrations of open carry laws. Others said guns make them feel safer.

People Wednesday told cleveland.com they believe the outcome would have been different if Kovacevic were black and compared him to Tamir Rice, the 12-year-old Cleveland boy shot to death by police last year, after he was seen waiving an airsoft gun.

"It's different if it's a black person. People say it isn't, but it is," 26-year-old Traneece Johnson said. "[Kovacevic] was approached, and they gave him a chance to speak and say he was expressing his right. The little boy didn't get that chance."

I think he's doing it for the attention. And he's got all the attention he wants.

The law

Ohio law, while requiring a license for carrying concealed weapons, allows citizens to carry firearms openly without a license.

James Weber, chief of the University of Akron Police Department, said those rights come with restrictions.

"If the person carrying a weapon points it at objects or people, or waves it around, the person may be apprehended and face charges of inducing panic, disorderly conduct, menacing or other charges," Weber said.

Weber said citizens openly carrying weapons must stay outside school zones. They cannot take weapons into buildings, including those at the University of Akron, which ban them. Also, under Ohio law, a person must be 18 to carry a long gun and 21 to carry a handgun.

Police response

Edwards said police don't necessarily like the open-carry law, but must enforce it. Officers receive training in responding to open-carry situations.

If officers approach someone openly carrying a gun, they will ask who they are, what they are doing and why they are there. But gun carriers are not required to respond.

"You have to be careful because you get into search and seizure issues," Edwards said. "You can't detain them.

"Ohio isn't the only state to allow open carry," Edwards said. "If you don't like it, you can talk to your legislators."

Just When You Thought You Heard It All News 12-5-2015

A Guilford County Schools' teacher has resigned amid an investigation into whether she washed out a student's mouth with soap...............

Multiple media outlets report Wiley Elementary kindergarten teacher Tiffani Staton resigned Wednesday.
GUILTY!!
Guilford County Schools Chief of Staff Nora Carr says Staton had been suspended without pay Wednesday pending the outcome of the investigation.

Carr says Guilford administrators began investigating a complaint about the incident Wednesday after another Wiley employee alerted the principal that something inappropriate may have happened. Police were called to the school Wednesday and opened a preliminary investigation.

Carr says the student's parent complained to the school Thursday.

Police say if the allegation against Staton is true, they will then go to the district attorney to see whether the incident rises to the level of a crime.

Deputies in Weber County, Utah, believed they've cracked open a case involving a mother who allegedly helped her teenage daughter go on an egging rampage.
In a case of......wait for it.......egging and abbeding, investigators said Jennifer Terry, 44, drove her daughter and several other teens around Weber County on Aug. 20 so they could throw eggs at as many as 20 homes, and cause several thousand dollars in damage.

Terry was arrested Monday and charged with a Class A misdemeanor.

The egg tossers allegedly threw an estimated 15 dozen eggs at various homes and people.

That's a lot of omlets!

The estimated damage includes a $2,343 bill to repair one home’s stucco and a $3,000 bill for damage to a car’s ignition, along broken screens, windows and furniture.

Some victims report they’ve been unsuccessfull at completely cleaningup the mess. according to local media sources.

Investigators said all but one of the accused minors admitted to being involved in the mass egging.

Police said Terry confessed to the eggings and said she did it "because of certain familial problems she was having and because she simply did not care,” according to a criminal report.

A devious donkey was picked up by the Norman Police Department on Tuesday after a wild romp through the streets of Oklahoma.

The responding officer put the bad ass in the back of his police car and transported him to a nearby home for safekeeping until his owner could be located, according to the department's Facebook post.

Funny, most times the ass in a police car rides in the front seat!

No word on whether or not the two went on a short ride-around first as a real-life interspecies crime fighting team, picking up other suspicious neighborhood perpetrators.

Don't look so sad, little Donkey. The memories of your wild day on the town will last you a lifetime.

Laquan McDonald Murdered, Police Chief Fired

Facing growing anger over his administration's handling of the release of a video showing a white Chicago police officer shooting a black teenager 16 times, Mayor Rahm Emanuel fired Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy on Tuesday.

McCarthy's firing comes one week after Emanuel's administration was forced by court order to release a year-old video that showed officer Jason Van Dyke pump 16 shots into Laquan McDonald, 17, on a Chicago street. Van Dyke was charged with first-degree murder last Tuesday, the same day the police dashcam video was released. http://youtu.be/1Zz03rvyhIk

Hours after the mayor announced McCarthy's ouster, the office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced that she has requested the U.S. Justice Department's civil rights division investigate the Chicago Police Department's practices.

"Trust in the Chicago Police Department is broken," Madigan wrote in a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch. "Chicago cannot move ahead and rebuild trust between the police and the community without an outside, independent investigation into its police department to improve policing practices."

The firing marks an about-face by Emanuel, who said in recent days he was standing by McCarthy.

Emanuel announced McCarthy's ouster at a late-morning news conference, saying he formally asked for his resignation Tuesday morning.

"I have a lot of support and confidence in the work that he has done," Emanuel said. "But our goal is to build the trust and confidence with the public. At this point and this juncture for the city, given what we're working on, he has become an issue rather than someone dealing with the issue."

Calls for McCarthy's ouster grew over the last week, following the release of the Laquan McDonald video. Protesters hit the streets chanting "16 shots and a cover up" and demanded McCarthy's ouster.

Van Dyke, who was suspended without pay after charges were filed against him, was released from jail Monday evening after posting the necessary 10% of $1.5 million bail.

In the video, McDonald can been seen walking down the middle of a thoroughfare. He appears to be walking away from police when he's first struck. Van Dyke fired the 16 shots over a 15-second period, according to prosecutors. Five other officers who were at the scene held their fire.

Police said they were pursuing McDonald, who was later found to have PCP in his system and was holding a knife with a 3-inch blade, after receiving a 911 call that the young man was breaking into cars. Shortly before he was shot, McDonald had punctured the tire of a squad car with his knife, according to prosecutors.

The truth is, Chicago cannot really move ahead with Rham Emanual as mayor. He should resign or be forced to resign. Officer Van Dyke had been on desk duty for over a year after the shooting and would not have been fired had it not been for a court order to release the dashcam video of Laquan McDonald being shot. In addition, Emanual failed to take action until he was re-elected.

Perhaps one of the most disturbing things about Emanual is the fact that he was once Chief of Staff in the Obama administration. Does this call president Obamas judgement and or integrity into question?

God Sent The Shooter?!

A gunman opened fire in a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Friday. These acts of atrocity are often committed by extremists who believe that they are punishing both those who are seeking abortions and doctors who perform them. But I have never understood the moral concept of killing for a cause, especially  killing someone in the name of Jesus. In fact one of The Ten Commandments is "Thou shalt not kill". So these "religious terrorists" break one of Gods commandments to punish those who break Gods commandments.

Robert Lewis Dear, 57, who surrendered to authorities after an hours long standoff, appears to have been motivated by opposition to abortion. Abortion clinics have long been the targets of violence, including bombings, anthrax scares and mass blockades. This year alone, arsonists attacked four Planned Parenthood clinics in WashingtonCalifornia, Illionois, and Louisiana.

In October, NARAL Pro-Choice America launched a petition urging the FBI to investigate the arson attacks, stating that “they’re perpetrated by an extreme minority that’s committed to ruling through fear and intimidation” and urging the FBI to treat them with the gravity warranted by domestic terrorism.

“We can’t wait until one more patient, doctor or nurse is hurt or killed before we say enough is enough. It’s time for an investigation to get to the bottom of this,” the group said.

Extremists have also thrown butyric acid into clinics, glued clinic locks shut, locked themselves into clinic property using items such as bicycle locks or chains, drilled holes into clinic roofs so that the clinic floods, invaded clinics, vandalized clinics, made threatening phone calls, tried to persuade patients to go to fake clinics, put spikes in driveways, talked outside clinics about bomb-making chemicals, laid down on sidewalks, jumped on cars, camped out in front of clinics for multiple-day stretches, and sent decoy patients into clinics to disrupt business. But none of these tactics resulted in death.

The most recent attack happened against a backdrop of increased hostility against Planned Parenthood, the result of a series of undercover videos that purport to show Planned Parenthood employees discussing the sale of fetal tissue. The videos have triggered renewed calls for the organization to be defunded, as well as a five-hour grilling of Planned Parenthood President and CEO Cecile Richards by a congressional select committee.

Friday's shooting left one police officer and two civilians dead.

Just When You Thought You Heard It All News (11-28-15)

Did someone really drive this death trap?

A car was discovered stuck in the mud with a plastic garden chair in place of its front seats.

Cops found the abandoned Nissan Micra in Middlesbrough, England, on Tuesday.

It's not clear whether its owner actually used the makeshift stool to operate the car on the open road.

But the vehicle, found to be uninsured, was seized.

Cleveland and Durham Road Policing Unit uploaded an image of the bizarre find to its Facebook page.

"We have been called to a report of a vehicle being used anti-socially off road at Skippers Lane, Middlesbrough this morning," the post stated.

"By the time we found it the occupants had it stuck in the mud and had abandoned it, leaving their best garden furniture behind," it added.

A woman serving a 39 year sentence for robbery has been crowned the beauty queen of one of Brazil's toughest prison for females.

Michelle Neri Rangel, 27, beat nine other inmates to the "Miss Talavera Bruce 2016" title at the maximum security lockup of the same name in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Tuesday.

She was ordered detained at the facility in 2010 after being convicted of prostitution and a series of holdups.

This competition) is a question of honor. I'm feeling like a woman, I've learned how to feel like a woman in prison," she said.

The participants had their hair and make-up styled by local volunteers.

Armed guards, family, friends and ten judges looked on as they first donned swimwear and then evening gowns for the two sections of the competition.

Fourth grader Kamarian Fox walked into a barbershop in Gastonia, North Carolina, on Monday, and made a beeline for a familiar face.

Grinning, the 9-year-old handed barber Mike Shelton his report card. He had received straight As.

“He said, "I'm here to get my free haircut." Shelton told the Gaston Gazette of his young customer. “I said, ‘Brother, you’re a VIP today,' and I brought him to the front of the line.”

The story of Kamarian’s free haircut and his friendship with the barber begins in August, when the boy, a day before starting fourth grade, first visited Next Level Barbershop, where Shelton works.

As Shelton cut Kamarian's hair that day, the pair struck up a quick friendship.

“There was just something about Kam,” Shelton told the Gazette. “I could tell for his age he was super mature and he was a great dude.”

Shelton was inspired to make Kamarian a promise: He vowed to give the kid free haircuts for life. Kamarian's end of the deal is to earn good grades in school.

“I could really tell he was a bright kid, excited about school and motivated,” Shelton told ABC News. “And I just said, ‘Look, I'll make you a deal.’”

Last week, Kamarian marched in with his first report card of the school year. He had fulfilled his end of the bargain.

And, as promised, Shelton -- who Kamarian now calls “Uncle Mike” -- kept his word.

“As long as you keep your grades right, I will keep you looking right,” Shelton told the boy.

Kamarian’s mom, Cameron Fox, said she’s extremely proud of her son, who she said is an exemplary student. A single mom, she said she’s also grateful to Shelton for acting like a father figure to the boy.

“I just appreciate his open arms and making us feel welcome, and giving Kamarian something to look forward to,” Fox told ABC News. “It's just awesome.”

As for Shelton, he said he's just paying it forward after years of getting encouragement and support from his barbers, who had a profound impact on his life.

“I knew it would be deeper than just cutting people’s hair,” Shelton told the Gazette of his job. “You can impact their lives for that 30 minutes and inspire them to leave through those doors and do something great.”

He's also encouraging others to do something to touch someone else's life.

“Find a young person or teenager in your community and give them an incentive to do good in school,” Shelton told WJZY-TV.
