Just When You Thought You Heard It All News (11-23-2014)

I don't claim to be a bible scholar, or an expert on what God wants. But I am pretty sure that there is nothing in it about speeding.

Speeding may be a violation of man's law, but under God's law, it's totally cool as long as you don't hurt anyone, according to televangelist Pat Ribertson who sits down and has lunch with Jesus at least a few days a week!

Speaking on his show "The 700 Club" Robertson responded to a viewer who wrote in to ask if hitting the gas a little too hard was a sin.

"Pat is it a sin to drive constantly over the speed limit?" My husband insists on speeding even when he's on time," the viewer identified as Nora wrote in a clip posted to You Tube. "In the last two years, he's gotten four speeding tickets and our insurance has gone up. He doesn't feel that God cares if we speed. What do you think?"

Who in his right mind would even entertain that question? Pat Robertson, that's who!

If Nora was hoping Robertson could get her husband to hit the brakes, she's going to be disappointed.

The preacher said he likes to speed himself, used to have a 450 hp Corvette and now has a car with 650 hp engine. He also boasted of reaching 200 mph before correcting himself and saying it was 100 mph.

“Is it a sin, II think it's a sin to hurt somebody! I think it's a sin to drive recklessly" said. "I see these clowns storming around in the midst of heavy traffic. When I drive in the city, I drive very slowly -- my wife's always saying, 'Go faster.'"

Robertson said it comes down to the effect your driving has on others.

"If your driving imperils other people, you are sinning, there’s no question about it," Robertson said. "But in an open stretch of road, you go to Texas, I think some areas there's no speed limit at all."

The bottom line: "Don't imperil anybody else with the way you drive a car."

Maybe Elwood Blues had it right in the "Blues Brothers."

"They're not going to catch us," he said as the cops starting tailing them. "We're on a mission from God."

In Camden, New Jersey a police officer has been accused of shooting a gun at his own police vehicle..........

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says 23-year-old Da'Shaun Carr used his personal gun to shoot a hole in his windshield on Oct. 3 and then communicated by police radio that he had been fired upon.........

What a brilliant plan Da'Shaun!

Police searched the area around New Brooklyn Park in Winslow, where he said the shooting happened.

Carr is a part-time special officer with the Winslow Police Department. He was charged Monday with false public alarms and has been suspended without pay.

Reached by phone Friday, Carr said that, "I don't have charges against me."

No one knows exactly what he was hoping to accomplish but "Scandal" was on at the beginning of his shift and....

His lawyer was out of the office and did not immediately return a call.

Officials in a Polish town have opposed a proposition to name a playground after Winnie-the-Pooh due to the bear's unclear gender and immodest clothing.

BOTTOMLESS!
Which is kinda freaky in a way. You try walking around bottomless and see what happens!

The matter was debated in a closed-door meeting weeks ago in the central Polish town of Tuszyn, but didn't get much media attention in Poland until recent days.

Voice recordings of the meeting were leaked to the media in which officials complained that Pooh Bear is immodestly dressed and also lacks a clear gender. One called the bear a "hermaphrodite." Oh kaaaaaay.

Some said a fully clothed Polish cartoon bear named Uszatek would be a better choice.

One of the Pooh Bear opponents, Ryszard Cichy, told a newspaper that he had been joking at the end of a discussion on a playground that had gone on too long.
