Just When You Thought You Heard It All News (2-27-2015)

Princess Fiona!!

And this week in low life school bus driver news.........A school bus aide in Millvelle, New Jersey has been charged with stealing lunch money and bagged lunches from preschoolers.

Police in Millville say 33-year-old Rosa Rios was caught on a surveillance camera rummaging through students' backpacks and stealing their Lunchables.

She's accused of stealing money and food from the 3- to 5-year-olds she was supervising in January and February.

Authorities first reviewed the footage because the bus driver complained that someone had stolen $400 from her. Rios is also under investigation in that theft.

The Sheppard Bus Company says Rios no longer works for the firm. She had been employed there about seven years.

Rios was charged Friday with robbery and theft. She is being held on $70,000 bail at the Cumberland County Jail and couldn't be reached for comment. Probably because she's in jail!

Nathan Ferguson  has traveled 108 times and now, he has taken his 109th trip directly to jail! It seems that Ferguson is a record breaker of sorts and not in a good way. As Northeast Ohio’s most-arrested man, Ferguson has now landed behind bars yet again for allegedly stealing a number of teeth whitening kits valued at $47 from a local CVS drug chain. Because, everyone knows, if your going to jail your teach should sparkle!!!

As if 108 trips to jail isn’t enough, Ferguson also has three active warrants with the South Euclid Municipal Court and four other outstanding warrants with the following four law enforcement departments—Highland Heights, Cleveland Heights, University Heights and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office.

The alleged thief with a rap sheet that goes back 31 years had his latest caper take place in Cleveland. Ferguson walked into a CVS and shoplifted a few teeth whitening kits.  As the crime careerist exited the store, he glanced at a security guard and reportedly broadcasted, “I don’t have anything on me.”  The security guard, however, was too familiar with Ferguson’s MO and recognized him at first glance.

Ferguson reportedly stepped into a waiting vehicle outside of the store, and hightailed it away from the premises but didn’t get very far, as he was stopped a little ways down the road by police.  When the policemen asked the 49-year-old for identification, he reportedly provided his brother’s name. According to authorities, Ferguson has 26 aliases he has used over the years. Talk about being your brothers keeper!!

Police personnel, who are only too familiar with Ferguson seem to think he might have a good shot at getting into that famed book of record breakers.  “Does anyone have a contact for Guinness Book of World Records?” cops asked in a Facebook post according to the New York Daily News. “We think we might have one worth evaluating.”

If I saw this thing smiling at me I'd cry too!!

SEATTLE  - A man who crashed his car into a utility pole near Seattle on Wednesday gave police a unique excuse for the pre-dawn accident: He was owl watching.

Police in Tukwila, about 10 miles south of Seattle, said the driver told officers he rammed into the pole by accident because he was in hot pursuit of one of the nocturnal birds.

Nobody was injured in the early morning crash on a residential street, the police report said. The driver, who was not identified, was not arrested and did not appear to be impaired by drugs or alcohol, police said.

The Quota..

There has long been speculation that the NYPD has a quota system. But that fact is, it exists. In a small part of it, called the ticketing quota, officers are told that they have to write a "book" a day or 25 tickets a day which is the exact amount of tickets in an officers ticket book. One officer has finally confirmed what most New Yorker's have suspected.

A court of appeals ruled that the New York Police officer who told his supervisors about an illegal quota system was protected by the First Amendment and may continue to sue the city for what he says was retaliation from his bosses.

Craig Matthews, an NYPD veteran of 17 years assigned to the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx, filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city of New York in 2012. In the lawsuit, filed with the help of the New York Civil Liberties Union, Matthews alleged that he began suffering retaliation from his supervisors in 2008, after he told NYPD bosses about a quota system implemented in his precinct.

Police quotas, systems in which cops are required to make a given number of arrests and stops each week to beef up their precinct's statistics  are illegal in New York City. Critics say quotas are widespread and lead to arbitrary arrests that can derail innocent people's lives, all while damaging the relationship between police and the communities they serve.

In the original lawsuit, Matthews alleges that he was denied overtime, separated from his partner, sent to punitive assignments, and given unfairly negative evaluations after speaking out, claiming that the city violated his First Amendment rights in the process.

But a federal judge with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled that Matthews' lawsuit could not proceed, because the cop was speaking as a public employee and not as a citizen. The speech of public employees is notoriously not protected by the First Amendment.

The decision, filed in U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second District, states that Matthews was acting as a citizen and not as a public employee when he told his supervisors about the quotas. The ruling does not say whether the city retaliated against Matthews, but merely allows the cop's original civil rights lawsuit, which had been dismissed by a federal judge, to move forward.

"Today's decision protects the ability of police officers to speak out against this kind of misconduct when they see it," said Christopher Dunn, a lawyer with the NYCLU. "New York City's finest should be applauded when they expose abuse, not abused and retaliated against."

The Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, the largest NYPD union and generally one of the NYCLU's fiercest critics, told BuzzFeed News that it supports the decision.

"This union has been warning about the dangers of police quotas for over a decade," said PBA President Pat Lynch. "This decision comes at an important time because despite management's claim that they want quality not quantity, illegal quotas for police activities are, unfortunately, alive and well in the NYPD."

The NYPD did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Still.......No Justice.....

'Three years ago George "The New OJ" Zimmerman" shot and killed Tryvon Martin for absolutely no reason at all. There was no provocation, no justice, and no peace. Since then quite a few Black men have been murdered mostly by police officers. So much so that I began to wonder who would be next. While I hope and pray that it won't be me or somebody that I know, I realize that any one of the victims of these crimes is somebody that I know, because our experiences as Black people in America are are relative. Therefore each and every injustice is a tragedy that hits home.

The Justice Department said Tuesday its independent investigation found "insufficient evidence" to charge George Zimmerman with federal civil rights violations in the shooting of Trayvon Martin.

Attorney General Eric Holder said the evidence did not meet the "high standard for a federal hate crime prosecution," but the decision should not end efforts to explore racial tensions in the justice system. The decision closes the federal investigation.

Still no justice, & there should still be no peace!!!

Beat For Bad Grades!

There's a fine line between discipline and abuse. A line that should never be crossed. Unfortunately the best intentions can result in the worst choices.

A Tampa Bay, Fla., woman was looking for a way to turn her daughter’s grades around, but authorities say she took it too far when she allegedly beat her child with a leather belt and then crafted a T-shirt for her daughter to wear explaining her failing grades and threatening kids to leave her alone or she would “get another good woopin.”  Well................

Melany Joyce Alexander, 30, was arrested Friday and charged with child abuse after staff at West Hernando Middle School called police when Alexander’s daughter arrived at school wearing a white T-shirt with the words, “I currently have all F’s in all of my classes. I am not aloud to have a boyfriend no time soon so back off before I get another good woopin like I got last night,” according to local media sources.

According to the affidavit, Alexander reportedly hit her daughter with a “leather belt" with holes with metal divots, which left clear impressions in several places to include both arms, neck, chest, back and legs,” which, after having viewed the marks, authorities concluded, was excessive.

According to reports. Alexander was reportedly uncooperative when questioned by police, but admitted to beating her daughter with a belt for her failing grades.

Malcolm X

Sunday February 22 marked the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm X

"We can never get civil rights in America until our human rights are first restored. We will never be recognized as citizens until we are first recognized as humans. ... The American “system” (political, economic and social) was produced from the enslavement of the black man, and this present “system” is capable only of perpetuating that enslavement."

And he said this in 1965!!

Officials say the giant hot dog on wheels slid off a road and slammed into a pole on Sunday in Enola, near Harrisburg.

3 words! Scarred For Life!

Think your baby photos are embarrassing? Then you need to check out these bizarre pictures one mom created of her newborn son using a phone makeup app.

QUESTION?!?
Where was and where is this boy's father?

Fiona, 28, is a mother from the United Kingdom who recently uploaded to imgur.com some bizarre photos of what her seven-week-old son Gabriel would look like if wearing makeup.
WHY?!
Fiona created the images using the YouCam Makeup app, which allows users to add the appearance of blush, eyeliner, and even extravagant wigs to their pictures.

Fiona's photos quickly went viral, but she assures everyone that no makeup was actually applied to young Gabriel.

This is exactly why I WILL NOT let my 8 year old ride the bus!!!
The next headline would read,
"Father Teaches Drunk Bus Driver A Lesson By Beating Her Silly With A 40 oz Bottle."
A school bus driver in Princeton City, Ohio, has been canned after posting a selfie that looks as if she's drinking a bottle of beer on her bus.

The selfie, which was posted on Facebook shows, the driver for the Princeton City School District behind the wheel of her bus with her lips around a bottle of "Country Club" malt liquor.

The photo caused a panic when parents and district officials saw it. The driver, whose name has not been released, was immediately fired by her employer, First Student Transportation.

The company issued a statement:

"We are incredibly disappointed by our driver's actions. Behavior such as this does not align with company policy and the high standards First Student strives for in all we do."

An internal investigation revealed that the bottle of beer was unopened, no students were on the bus, and that the photo was taken after the driver was off-duty. SO WHAT!!

However, parents like Sadie Leporati, mother of a student, said the driver should be forbidden to ever drive a bus again.

"She shouldn't go back," Leporati said, according reports. "She should absolutely get fired. It was very inappropriate and very poor judgment on her part."

A Dr. Refused To Treat This Baby....

Christian's beware! We must not allow ourselves to become so righteous that we forget what it means to be Christians.
The whole idea behind being a Christian in to be Christ like! What would Jesus do. Surely, he would not sit perched upon his high horse judging others and condemning them because of their sins. We must be careful that we don't send the wrong message while trying to set an example.

Krista and Jami Contreras said Dr. Vesna Roi of Eastlake Pediatrics in Roseville, Michigan, had initially agreed to be the pediatrician to their daughter, Bay. But after "much prayer," Roi had a change of heart, although his decision seems to indicate that she doesn't have one.

When the couple brought their 6-day-old baby into the office for a wellness check-up, another doctor told them that Roi would not be seeing them after all.

"I was completely dumbfounded," Krista, who is the baby's biological mother, told the newspaper. "We just looked at each other and said, 'Did we hear that correctly?'"

The other doctor at the practice offered to care for the baby. The couple told a local news station that the second doctor also told them Roi didn't even come into the clinic that day because she didn't want to see them.

"As far as we know Bay doesn't have a sexual orientation yet so I'm not really sure what that matters," Jami said. "We're not your patient  she's your patient. And the fact is that your job is to keep babies healthy and you can't keep a baby healthy that has gay parents?"

Roi later sent the couple a handwritten letter.

"After much prayer following your prenatal, I felt that I would not be able to develop the personal patient doctor relationship that I normally do with my patients," wrote Roi, who has an average of three out of five stars at Health grades and four out of five on Vitals based on limited reviews.

Roi apologized for not telling them in person, and said they were welcome in the clinic, but that Bay would have to be seen by the other doctor at the practice.

"Please know that I believe that God gives us free choice and I would never judge anyone based on what they do with that free choice," Roi wrote. "Again, I am sorry for the hurt and angry feelings that were created by this. I hope you can accept my apology."

Roi's decision may seem outrageous, but it's not illegal. The Free Press reports that while 22 states have laws prohibiting doctors from discriminating based on sexual orientation, Michigan is not one of them.

However, the American Medical Association's code of ethics says doctors should not refuse care based on race gender or sexual orientation. Doctors can refuse specific treatments if they are incompatible with personal, religious or moral beliefs.

Roi has not been a member of the AMA since 2001, according to her website. She does belong to the American Academy of Pediatrics which similarly urges members to practice non discrimination .

Krista and Jami Contreras, who were "married" in Vermont in 2012, said that they were going public to raise awareness and change the laws to protect families with same-sex parents.

"It was embarrassing, it was humiliating and here we are, new parents trying to protect her, and we know this happens in the world and we're completely prepared for this to happen other places. But not at our 6-day-old's wellness appointment."

This story requires no in depth analysis, and no critical thought process. It is simple. The baby has nothing to do with their parents choices. They either benefit or they suffer. But they should not be punished simply because someone disagrees with their parents choices.

The Wrong "man"

And the IDIOT of the week is........Alton Walter! This dispicable loser, who just happens to be a Richmond County Georgia Sheriff’s deputy, is facing felony charges of false imprisonment and cruelty to children in the first degree for allegedly handcuffing a 12-year-old boy to a pole, then beating and tasering him.

The child’s mother, who has not been identified, reportedly called upon her "friend" Walter to speak to her son about his unruly behavior. The deputy, who was off-duty, went to the woman’s home when she was not there and reportedly took it upon himself to physically discipline the child.  While at the home, Walters allegedly handcuffed the child to a basketball goal, slapped the boy across his face several times, punched him in the stomach and tasered him as if he were torturing him.

A neighbor, who claimed to have witnessed Walters abusing the crying boy when he peeped over his fence summoned authorities.  The unidentified man also told authorities he also saw Walters using his baton on the child, states the news outlet.

Based upon the evidence that has been presented thus far, Walters has not only been criminally charged but fired, effective immediately from his position as a deputy as well.

Meanwhile, the boy was examined by EMS workers who were also summoned to the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Every boy needs and deserves to have a strong male role model in his life. The word strong needs to be put into context so that we all realize, recognize and understand the fact that physical strength pales in comparison to strength of character. A man's true strength lies in his willing to do two things, following Christ and setting a standard. With that being said we must be ever so vigilant in whom we allow into our children's lives. Of course the boys mother had good intentions. But having a man talk to him or discipline his was not enough. It had to be the right man.

FIRE BOMBED IN 2015!

I was born in 1971, which was basically at the tail end of the civil rights movement. There was no such thing as an African-American, and Black people were just a few years into the transition from Negro to Black. I was raised hearing stories about the civiil rights movement. The turmoil, the struggles, and the black and white footage of the masses marching had always seemed like ancient history to me. The details of which were both foreign and unimaginable. After all, many of these people have paid the ultimate price so that their struggles would be foreign me and future generations. While there has been a great deal of progress over the past few decades, the struggle continues, and every now and then, ghosts of the 50's and 60's return to haunt America.

Ronald and Malissia Clinton live in a lovely community outside Los Angeles, and last week someone firebombed their home in what the couple believes was a racially motivated hate crime.

"I don't have proof, I don't have any type of motive, but I do have a gut," Ronald Clinton, who works as a pharmacist, said. "And I tell you, my gut tells me this was racially motivated. And it was somebody that had the intent to harm, injure or even kill us.

"I just know there is no other reason to target us," he said "We have no enemies. Why us?"

According to reports around 2:30 a.m. on a Wednesday night, someone took a gasoline-filled tire, leaned it against the front door of the Clintons' home in the Los Angeles suburb of Manhattan Beach and then lit the tire on fire. Ronald Clinton told the news station that he was asleep during the attack but was awakened after hearing two loud explosions. His wife, a corporate lawyer, was out of town when the attack occurred.

Ronald Clinton says that he gathered his three children and the dog and ran out of the house. He used a hose to douse the flames until the Fire Department arrived. The Clintons' $3.5 million home suffered some $200,000 in damage in the blaze.

"This is not what our community is all about, and we're going to get the person who did this," Manhattan Beach Mayor Wayne Powell said. Manhattan Beach's population is about 84 percent white.

The Clintons' first reaction was that they needed to move out of the neighborhood, but once news spread of the attack, hundreds in the community gathered to show their support for the family.

"It was just amazing to see the turnout," Clinton said.

The average American will not support ignorance in the year 2015. But those who are not average are still ignorant, and still very dangerous.

JUSTICE?!?!

Justice is fleeting or so it's seemed over the last few years. Police officers killing young black men with impunity, and getting away with murder. Until now.

A New York police officer was charged Wednesday with second-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of an unarmed Brooklyn man in November.

Officer Peter Liang was arraigned Wednesday in Brooklyn Supreme Court for "recklessly" causing the death of Akai Gurley, according to court documents.

In addition to the manslaughter charge, Liang faces one count of criminally negligent homicide, one count of second-degree assault, one count of reckless endangerment and two counts of official misconduct. He was released without bail.

If Liang were convicted on the charge of second-degree manslaughter, he could face up to 15 years in prison.

"The defendant ignored his training" when he used his firearm, lead prosecutor Marc Fliedner told the court. The defendant also did not try to help Gurley, instead retreating to a hallway and telling a fellow officer "I'm going to get fired," Fliedner said.

The prosecution will prove Liang made a "deliberate motion" with his firearm, he added.

Prosecutors don't believe Liang intentionally killed Gurley, the DA said, but he had his finger on the trigger and an innocent man was killed.

Liang new to the NYPD

Gurley, 28, was "a total innocent who just happened" to run into Liang in a "pitch black" stairwell at the Louis H. Pink Houses in Brooklyn, New York Police Commissioner William Bratton told reporters the day after the killing.

At the time, the NYPD said the fatal shot was an "accidental discharge."

Liang, with less than 18 months on the job and on probationary status, had been placed on modified assignment and stripped of his gun and badge pending an investigation.

Hello! I'm A Professional Drug Dealer.

A man in West Palm Beach, Florida was arrested on Tuesday after he cut in front of an unmarked cop car while driving in a stolen vehicle.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies indicated that the 25-year-old man, Robert Phillips, nearly caused a crash when he cut in front of the unmarked cruiser.

Another Florida man was arrested forkilling five small alligators and chopping off their tails in preparation for a Super Bowl dinner.

The police report indicates that the detective who was cut off then followed Mr. Phillips and watched him engage in a drug transaction, at which point deputies in marked cars caught up to him. He then fled at a high rate of speed before he was eventually caught and arrested while in possession of $2,316 in cash, 22 grams of heroin and 5.3 grams of crack cocaine. The crack-cocaine was discovered in his vehicle. He facing multiple drug charges.

WFTV indicated in a report that the Florida man listed his occupation as “drug dealer” on the arrest report.

Phillips remains in jail on a $242,000 bond. Maybe he can borrow the money from his union!

There is no indication that he has an attorney, according to NBC Miami.

Just When You Thought You Heard It All News (2-14-2015)

Just so we're clear, every man who makes a baby is not a father, every father who has a child is not a daddy and some guys are nothing more than idiots who've made babies!

HERE IS ONE OF THEM!!!

A father who strapped his one-month-old baby to a steering wheel, span it around and posted footage of the stunt online has been blasted by children's rights groups. REALLY?!?!?!?!

Yong Liao,  39, was at a service station in western Taiwan's Miaoli county when he strapped the baby to the wheel of his car and spinned it back and forth.

The baby's mother, Xia Lung, then posted the clip online to the horror of children's rights groups.

After receiving a torrent of abuse, the 34-year-old removed the video, having responded to her critics: 'I don't know what everyone is complaining about, we weren't on a main road at the time, we were only at a service station.' ..........

Despite widespread criticism, social workers said no action would be taken against the couple.

Throughout the brief video, Mr Liao and Miss Lung can be heard cooing and singing to the baby as it's rocked back and forth.

Somebody should do that to him! Spin his dumb behind in a circle and throw knives at him while he spins!!!

Besides that WACK shirt, he looks like a regular dude, right? Looks like he's on a bus or a train headed for Hotlantia, maybe. Well...........

Police police in Pittsburgh caught up to a man trying to flee assault charges because he posted a selfie on Facebook while sitting on a Greyhound bus out of town, a police chief said Tuesday.

"We like it when dumb criminals assist us in our investigation," Ambridge police Chief James Mann told the Beaver County Times, which first reported the arrest........LOLOL!!

Mann told The Associated Press that the suspect, 22-year-old Donald Harrison, had been living in the borough about 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh when he was charged with assaulting a woman and refusing to let her leave her apartment after an argument on Jan. 24.

An hour after the woman called police, police learned that Harrison, who is originally from Spartansburg, South Carolina, posted the Facebook message, "IT'S TIME TO LEAVE PA."

Yeah.....because everybody knows that the police have absolutely positively no idea what Facebook is!

Police couldn't find him right away, but Mann said the woman called him Sunday afternoon after she noticed the Facebook selfie with the message saying, "OMW TO SPARTANSBURG SC SAY A PRAYER FOR ME."

Mann said the picture appeared to show Harrison sitting in a bus or airplane and, acting on a hunch, he called the Greyhound bus terminal in Pittsburgh and learned a bus to Spartansburg had left 15 minutes earlier. After learning it would stop in Youngstown, Ohio, Mann explained the situation to Greyhound and arranged for Youngstown police to arrest Harrison on a warrant he faxed them.

"I guess when the bus pulled in they instructed the driver to keep the door shut until police got there, and the rest is history," Mann said. "We've been on 'World's Dumbest Criminals' for a couple of things, but his actions certainly qualifies for another episode" of the reality show on truTV.

The show focuses on the dumb but funny things criminal suspects sometimes do that get themselves caught. But Mann said there's nothing funny about what Harrison allegedly did to the victim.

Among other things, Harrison body-slammed her several times during the 12-hour ordeal before he left, and she has several fractured vertebrae, Mann said.

As a result, police expect to add a charge of aggravated assault when he is extradited from Ohio later this week.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Harrison, who is charged with simple assault, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment, among other charges.

This is strictly a rhetorical question. Is there anything sexy about this dinosaur?
NOPE!
Well, apparantly she thinks there is!

An 82-year-old is facing a criminal record after allegedly stealing a bottle of "Sexiest Fantasies" perfume.

Deputies in Richmond County, Georgia, arrested Anneliese Young on Jan. 27, after she entered a CVS store and an employee allegedly saw her put a bottle of "Sexiest Fantasies" perfume into her purse, The Smoking Gun reports.

Young allegedly walked out of the drugstore without paying for the $7.39 body spray. She was followed by an employee, the Metro reported.

When the employee confronted Young, the suspect allegedly handed her thebottle of "Sexiest Fantasies" body spray.

The employee then called the Richmond County Sheriff's Office and told officers she wanted to press charges against the octogenarian, the Daily Mail reports.

Young was taken to the Richmond County Jail and booked on a charge of larceny and later released.

Young is accused of stealing the brand's "Fireworks" scent, which is described by the manufacturer as "a burst of sensuality as plump wild strawberries, succulent peaches and voluptuous vanilla come together."

According to WGNTV.com, it promises to be "as addictive and seductive as the women who wears it".

EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Principal Builds A Private Gym In A Brooklyn School

SIDE BAR: I never had a principal who looked like a Solid Gold dancer! Excuse me a wanna-be Solid Gold dancer!

An irresponsible principal at a public elementary school in Brooklyn, N.Y., is under scrutiny for allegedly using school funds for her own private gym on the premises.

Jazmine Santiago, the principal of Public School 269 in Flatbush, reportedly used school money to install her own gym—complete with bench press, pull-up bar, treadmill, elliptical machine, etc.—on the third floor of the school building, a source told the site. I guess nobody saw the stripper pole in the corner!

Staffers have asked Santiago about the expenditure, but the principal has only said that she shared the gym with older students. However, the school goes up only to grade 5, which means that the oldest students are 11 years old and under 5 feet tall which makes them much too young to use some of the equipment.

BUSTED!

“Their bodies are not ready for a treadmill,” one teacher is quoted as saying.

The gym was installed at the site of a storage room in June 2014, with no consultation, staff has claimed. The room, teachers added, was always locked, not accessible to staff or students. Hmmm, I wionder why?!

“She comes in early, she goes to the gym. Even when class is in session, she’s still in the gym,” another teacher said. “The kids have their own gym. Her gym is on the third floor, and it’s her own personal gym.”

Not for long. I suspect that by the time you read this she'll be jogging in place at the unemployment line.

"Christians" Have Killed Too!

Y

John 8:32

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

But the fact is, you have to want to know the truth. Those who don't know the truth will never be free. They will be nothing more than captives of their own naïveté, crippled by their ignorance.

"Lest we get on our high horse and think this [violence in the name of religion] is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ...Michelle and I returned from India, an incredible, beautiful country, full of magnificent diversity, but a place where, in past years, religious faiths of all types have on occasion been targeted by other peoples of faith...acts of intolerance that would have shocked Gandhi."

Above is a direct quote from President Obama made in reference to the ongoing characterization of all Muslims as terrorists. This statement drew fire from both his critics and supporters alike. But the fact is, what the president said was not a theory, a wild accusation or a false assertion. It is a historical fact.
So called Christians have used Christianity as a tool to keep slaves in line for hundreds of years. These evil slave masters would give their slaves a little touch of Jesus to "cure" their desire to free themselves. They gave them Christianity as a way of pacifying them and they believed that the only way that they would and could be free was if it was God's will. They never knew the truth, and they were never taught the truth. The greatest gift that God had given them was freedom of choice, so they never exercised their option to fight for what they deserved. Freedom and bondage are polar opposites. Millions of African's were enslaved, tortured and murdered all while Jesus' name was being used in vain.. This is fact, not fiction.

With that being said, labeling people and making broad generalizations about their culture or religion is dangerous. Notice, in this piece I never said that all Christians have killed, or will kill. But there were some whom I assume we're Christians in name only due to the fact that they used Christianity as a tool for evil, who have misused our faith to oppress an entire race of people. This oppression included murder.

This week in Chapel Hill, North Carolina 3 Indian American students who just happened to be Muslin were murdered by a man just because of his perception who  he thought they were. But his assumption turned out to be false. As it turns out, he was the terrorist!

RIGHT ON TARGET!!

One of my favorite quotes is by Mahatma Gandhi, "Be the change that you seek in the world."  This doesn't require some grand gesture or financial support. It can be something just as simple as taking a moment out of your day for an exercise in benevolence. Doing so can change someone's life forever.

Turns out, talking to strangers is not so bad after all. SOMETIMES!

At least not for a North Carolina teen, who went to Target to look for a clip-on tie for a job interview. Instead, he became the subject of a touching moment and a viral photo.

Audrey Mark said that she was shopping at a store in Raleigh on Wednesday when she noticed something unusual.

"I see this young teen being hovered over by this Target employee," Mark said.

Curious, she got closer to see what was going on. The employee was not just tying the teen's tie, he was imparting some wisdom as well.

"I hear him peppering him with all this advice on interview skills and handshakes," she told the local media.

Employee Cathy Scott said the teen walked into the store looking for a tie.

"I asked him if he needed help, and he told me he needed clip-on ties," Scott told the affiliate. "We didn't have any."

She turned to her co-worker, Dennis Roberts, and asked him if he knew how to tie a regular tie. He said yes, so the teen bought one and handed it to Roberts.

But Scott and Roberts went a step further and prepared the teen for his interview.

"We said, 'Make sure you look him in the eye.' I'm saying, 'Make sure you give him a firm handshake,' and she showed him ... he tucked his shirt in," Roberts said.

Mark snapped away.

"It was a very quiet, simple moment, but it was very profound," she told the affiliate. "He leaves and all these Target employees are screaming 'Bye! Good luck! Tell us how it went.' I got so emotional. I got teary."

But it didn't just end there.

A day later, a Target team went to a nearby Chick-fil-A, where the teen interviewed.

Though they didn't know his identity, they shared their experience with the restaurant's manager.

The teen appears to have had a good initial interview at the restaurant.

He's 15 and "definitely left a memorable impression," said David Langston, operator of the Chick-fil-A.

"We have a three-part interview process, and we are inviting him back to have his second interview," Langston said. "He's a really nice kid. We hope to talk to him today (Friday), but we have to wait until he gets out of school and check his availability to set up the second interview."

Holding On, Hanging On

I'll be honest, and I won't ask you. But I will admit that some days are harder than others. Some days I find it hard to hold on, and I end up hanging on. I feel like the edge of the cliff is crumbling beneath my fingers, and I can feel the chill of the cold wind whipping around my head beackoning me to let go. The weight of the world pulls my body like faithful hands dedicated to my demise. But I'm hanging on. I try to devise new strategies to pull myself up. But it's only Tuesday and I just don't have it in me. My hands start to slip and I close my eyes and let go. As I wait to feel my fall, I realize that I am not moving. I'm afraid to open my eyes because it might ruin my relief. But I felt his hands stop me from falling. In the midnight hour 12:01 am when all seemed lost, I found myself, safe in his hands.

We have to hold on even if it means hanging on!

He Assaults Children!

Some people have absolutely no business being around children. But the scary part is finding that out after they've already hurt a child.

Jonathan Hardin was reportedly fired from his post as a school resource officer at the Olmstead Academy North in Louisville, Kentucky, after he was arrested and charged with assault, official misconduct, wanton endangerment and false swearing charges.

As of Friday, it’s the fifth complaint against officer Hardin, and amazingly no corrective action was taken before this incident.

The 31-year-old "law enforcer" is accused of punching a 13-year-old boy in the face with a closed fist, after he spotted the child cutting a lunch line, of all things! The alleged incident took place on January 22 of this year.  After striking and injuring the boy, Hardin the "super cop" cited the child for menacing and resisting arrest which according to police procedures was not warranted.

Five days after the punching incident, Hardin was involved in yet another altercation at the school. But the question is, why was he still on duty 5 days later. Hardin allegedly placed a boy in a dangerous chokehold that momentarily cut off his blood flow and caused him to lose consciousness.  Instead of seeking medical help for the child, Hardin reportedly placed the boy in handcuffs, drove him home and failed to alert his parents as to what took place.  The child was taken to a medical facility and this week it was determined that he did suffer a brain injury and could have died as a result of Hardin’s alleged bully tactics.

It was discovered that Hardin had been involved in another case last year, involving his allegedly assaulting a student at an academy that is run by the University of Louisville. A 14-year-old boy accused Hardin of yanking him by the neck, dragging him out of bed at 3:00 am and demanding that he do sit ups for an hour, without water.  The youth is reportedly suing the school and Hardin, along with two other officers, who also worked at the facility.

Louisville Metro Police Chief Steve Conradreleased a statement shortly after Hardin was brought into custody:

“A Public Integrity Investigation was immediately initiated as soon as the allegations of criminal wrongdoing by Officer Jonathan Hardin were brought to our attention by JCPS. Further investigation determined the allegations to be egregious and necessary to present to the Jefferson County Attorney’s office for review. The County Attorney’s Office presented the case before a judge who issued an arrest warrant for Officer Hardin charging him with Assault 1st, Wanton Endangerment 1st, Official Misconduct 1st & 2nd, Assault 4th, and False Swearing.

Based upon the nature of the conduct which is clearly documented in the on-going criminal investigation, I have determined to exercise my authority under KRS 15.520 and suspend Officer Hardin without pay. Officer Hardin is afforded due process and we will await the results of this case in court. In the meantime, I have also initiated a Professional Standards investigation into this matter and, therefore, in accordance with KRS 15.520 we are prohibited from speaking further on this particular case.

Allegations of our officers involved in criminal wrongdoing are very concerning and something we take quite serious.”

Hardin was initially held on a $25,000 bond, and on Friday morning, pleaded not guilty to punching and choking two students at Olmsted Academy North. Hardin was removed from that school on January 28, 2015 and has since been suspended without pay from LMPD.

Attorney Thomas Clay plans to file a motion this week to join all civil claims against Officer Hardin into one lawsuit.

To say that Hardin is a public menace is an under statement. He should be either prosecuted or left alone in a room with the parents of the children that he assaulted.
